Last fall I studied abroad in Florence, Italy and while I was there I was able to do some traveling. This photo was taken in Paris while I was coming out of the Louvre and it was one of those moments that completely took my breath away and for the first time I felt like I was no longer at home. In some ways it felt completely surreal. I chose this particular photo to represent me as an artist because it demonstrates my love of contrast and color. I love to play with monotones and to capture things that might not be as noticeable say like the Eiffel Tower in the background. I wanted to capture Paris from a different perspective and convey what it meant to me.
